Ashley Graham has Jason Kennedy’s stamp of approval following her awkward Hugh Grant interview on the 2023 Oscars red carpet.

“Don’t worry @ashleygraham… now you understand why Hugh Grant is not one of our favorites to interview live,” the entertainment journalist tweeted on Sunday.

“Well done for getting around his nonsense,” the 41-year-old continued.

When a Twitter troll wrote that Graham, 35, “should have been more strategic” in her interview with the actor, Kennedy came to her aid.

The E! personality clarified that there were “no… some other people to talk to”, adding, “It’s pre-produced for such a broadcast, not her call.”

Graham’s stilted interaction with Grant went viral over the weekend, with clips circulating of the Golden Globe winner giving short, truncated answers to her questions and rolling his eyes.

The model responded to the exchange in a TMZ interview the next day, saying her goal is to “kill people with kindness.”

Though the “American Beauty Star” host failed to elaborate on Grant’s attitude, she gushed about the “good time” she had doing pre-show coverage for ABC.
